The night was a huge a huge success, organising an event this large takes a lot of effort behind the scenes working with the Italian Consulate, Invictus Games Sydney, ClubsNSW, Five Dock RSL Sub-Branch and City of Canada Bay Council.
Dignitaries included Consul General Arturo Arcano, Senator of the Republic of Italy The Hon. Dr Francesco Giacobbe OAM, PhD, Member for Drummoyne Mr John Sidoti, Invictus Games Chairman Mr Peter Leahy AC, Invictus Games CEO Patrick Kidd OBE and more.
Club Five Dock RSL President Robert Ridge welcomed all guests and stated, “The Club and Sub-Branch have had a close connection with veteran welfare for a very long time and having the opportunity to work with Invictus, in particular the Italian national team, due to our long connection with the Australian/Italian community in our local area.”
Last month the Club also held it’s Presidents Black Tie where $61,000 was donated to the Invictus Games Sydney and pledge to continue to support in our community.
Thank you all that attended and let’s continue to support the Invictus Games Sydney.
